Halloween Melting Sugar Skull Makeup

After seeing Desi Perkins Melting Skull Youtube video I knew I wanted to do that sort of makeup for Halloween. I attempted to do the skull face but it didn't quite go to plan, instead I decided to do 'Day of The Dead' Sugar Skull.

Half my face I did my normal foundation routine and on the other side I used Snazaroo face paint to create the white base. I used a range of purple eyeshadows to create the colouring around my eye on the Sugar Skull side and used the same colours to create a smokey eye on the melting side. For the purple lips I used NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Amethyst. I created the pattern using a cheap liquid eyeliner from Primark and a Cream Liner from e.l.f . To create the melting effect I used PVA glue mixed with my foundation to make it skin coloured.

For my outfit I wore a skeleton dress from PLT and a black Flower Crown from Claire's. The final touch to my Halloween outfit I wore different coloured contact lenses and sprayed glitter all over my hair and the blonde ends I sprayed white.

RiverIsland Haul

I picked up a few things from Riverisland not so long ago and have only just got round to photographing them. Some of the items I had bought are not available online.

Light Blue Denim Bardot Top

I do love a bardot neckline, I think its a great style to wear during the summer. This top is a relaxed fit and has loose mid length sleeves.  I really like the buttoned up and knotted front detail of this top, I liked it that much I also bought it in a striped pattern!

Blue Strip Bardot Top

I really like the zip detailing of this shirt. This shirt has a ribbed neckline and a split back. Its easy to wear as just a shirt itself or as a jacket worn over a cami.

Khaki Popper Shirt

I saw this Khaki shirt and just loved the popper front detailing of it. Its similar to the above shirt that it has a ribbed collar and a split back. It can also be worn as a shirt or a lightweight jacket.

Gym Wear

For a while now I've been planning on doing a post about what I wear to the gym, as I have got a bit of collection of gym wear going on now, because you know I am such a gym goer...  Some of the items of clothing I've had for a while and others are pretty new so I will do my best to find links of the items.

Leggings - LuxeFitClothing

These have got to be my favourite leggings, I love the arctic camo print, it makes a change from the usual black I tend to wear. They have mesh panels which is a really cool design feature. The camo leggings are now available is two other colours; Aqua and Magenta, which I'm definitely going to invest in. They also have matching sports bra to go with the leggings. The outfit as a whole is really comfortable to work out in and good quality. I'd definitely recommend checking them out and follow them on instagram and Facebook to keep up with the latest offers and releases.

Sports Bra - Primark

I was in desperate need of a new sports bra as I only had one and needed to wash it everyday to wear it to the gym...#effort.. Its not like I need one let be honest, but I find them pretty useful to slot my phone into when using weights, as i haven't got round to purchasing one of those armband phone holder things.  I picked up this sports bra in Primark for around £5, its pretty good quality for the price. I have purchased other sports bras from Primark before which weren't good, they had padded cups which made my boobs look a weird shape...not a good look!

Outfit - Boohoo

This outfit isn't available on the Boohoo website as I have had it for a while now. I haven't really got much to say about this outfit. If I'm honest I rarely wear it, well the leggings to be specific, as there quite uncomfortable. I could of done with a bigger size as they are really tight.

Top - Boohoo

I order this top from Boohoo as its something different,  fashion meets fitness look. Its loose fitting so you can easily workout in it or just wear it to the gym to cover up a bit. This top would look good over a crop top and jeans for a casual daytime look. I've found a link to a very similar top which just has a different style neckline.

Sports Bra - Adidas
Leggings - Missguided

This sports bra is from Adidas, I bought it in the sale sometime ago now. The best thing about this sport bra is that it is reversible, one side is pink and the other is black. The leggings are from Missguided, I actually have two different sizes in these as I never got round to sending one size back. They have mesh panels at the back of the legs and are really comfortable to wear.

So thats basically what I wear to the gym at the moment.  I have just ordered a few more pieces so keep a look out for a post on them soon.

I've also changed the background of my pics. I wanted a bit more detail to the background, something different for my instagram look, and much easier to edit.

Bomber Jackets

I bought both of these bomber jackets from Riverisland, both were in the sale and sold out pretty quickly. I ended up sizing up with the blue and white patterned bomber as it was the only size left and I just loved it too much not to buy it. Both of these bomber jackets are light weight and easy to throw on over an outfit for a cool and casual look. As these jackets are no longer available online, Iv put a link to the Riverisland website which shows a variety of different style bomber jackets.
