Outfit - Floral Monochrome Print

Dress - Riverisland
Necklace - Primark (old)

Monochrome and floral print, what's not to love?

I featured this dress in my previous 'River Island Sale Edit' post. I would say this dress is my current favourite. Its fit and flare shape is very flattering and its sweetheart neckline adds a feminine touch. The dress has a textured floral monochrome print which is soft and has some stretch to it.

I wore the outfit with my trusty New Look boots. I got these boots ages ago and iv worn them everyday since. They have lasted very well but I think its about time I invest in new pair.

Outfit - Back To School

Dress - Topshop (old)
Shirt - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Primark
Hat - H&M

I didn't intentionally put together a back to school inspired outfit, it just happened to look that way. I thinks its due to the whole look being monochrome and that I'm wearing a white shirt. The shirt is from primark and has a floral burn out print on the front and back which is covered by the dress.

The dress is old from Topshop. Its a jersey strappy midi dress with a tulle skirt overlay. The dress looks great layered over tops and worn under cropped jumpers in the colder seasons.

I love hats but don't own many. I got this hat from H&M, there was only large sizes left, its a bit big but nothing that a bit of back combing cant fix. I am on the look out for a burgundy/wine coloured fedora or a floppy hat. I have seen one in Topshop but £28 for a hat is overpriced for my liking.

Pastel blue textured dress with contrasting white peter pan collar... What's not to love right? I have seen similar Autumn/Winter coloured dresses with the peter pan collars in primark, which i have been tempted to buy.

The white jacket is from H&M. Its fitted in style and has a textured pattern to it. The puff sleeves and welt pockets with a flap are great features to this jacket.

The white sandals are from Primark. They have been the perfect shoe for me during the summer, both comfortable and stylish.

I love all things that resemble the 50s style when it comes to fashion, which is why I love this midi skirt. I got the skirt awhile back now from Topshop. The shape of the skirt is feminine and very flattering when worn with a fitted top. The pleats and the organza insert are great features to the skirt. When I love something I tend to buy it in as many colours as possible. This is exactly what I did with this skirt. Does anyone else do that? I have 3 other versions of this skirt in different colours and prints.

I was completely drawn to the print of this boxy shirt. The fabric is so soft which I found quite surprising as its from primark. The shirt comes with a pretty little detachable chain which is attached under the collar.

I got this dress when i went to the clothes show last year.

I use to enjoy going to the clothes show with all the bargains to be had, but last year i wasn't really impressed. I feel that I am to old for the clothes show now, it just seems filled with young girls wanting to meet the 'TOWIE' and 'MIC' cast. There was quite a few market type stalls and some were even selling primark clothes with labels cut out! The best part about the event would be the graduate/independent designer stalls. I would recommend going if your love shopping as it is a great day out.

Anyway, back to the dress...Its a bit short for me. I really like the wide neck collar i think its a nice feature to the dress. I love the print and the colours of this dress, i think they complement each other,

The Asos Pot Luck Platform shoes are currently my favourite, I just love the chunkiness about them. I haven't worn them much as they are so white I don't want to get them dirty. these are unavailable but I have linked a similar version the Asos Please Sir Platforms

Belated summer post - The next few posts are more suitable to the summer weather. I should of posted them during the summer but only just got round to editing and writing them up. So for now lets just pretend that I don't live in the UK and its hot outside.

This dress was a present from my mum which she got me when she was on holiday. I have mixed feeling about this dress. I liked it on the hanger but disliked it on me. I cant wear strong permanent pressed pleats I find them really unflattering on me. I think the dress looks a lot better tied at the waist rather than loose fitting. On a positive note I do like the neck tie feature and the bold colourful print which is unusual for me.
