Met Gala 2016 - Best Dressed

I have selected 10 famous faces of which I think were the best dress of the evening. There were so many dresses that I loved and I have managed to narrowed it down to just 10 outfits. These are not in any particular order as it would be just to difficult to pick my favourite.

Blake Lively - Burberry

Blake is wearing a Burberry blush pink pleated technical silk organza and chiffon gown, with a corset top and A-line skirt. The gown also had a detachable cape accented with hand-dyed and laser-cut acrylic petal detailing on the back. I think Black looks very elegant in this gown. Good choice!

Karlie Kloss - Brandon Maxwell

I thought Karlie Kloss looked amazing. She had 3 outfits altogether, 2 for the main event and one for the after party. Karlie arrived to the event wearing a white gown that covered her shoulders and cinched at her waist. Her second look featured a chocker neckline combined with plunging cutouts along the sides and the cleavage, showing off her tiny toned physique. Karlie did suffer a fashion disaster when red wine was spilt on the bottom of her outfit.... That would totally happen to me if I wore a white dress out... Instead of changing to into her original after party outfit, designer Brandon Maxwell chopped of the bottom half of the skirt giving Karlie a new look.

Adriana Lima - Giambattista Valli

Model Adrianna Lima wore a tea-length dress featuring a black and white patterned bodice, with a white skirt accented by cascading blue details. Adriana looked stunning in this dress... no surprise there, she is a model!. This dress is a winner for me, not saying its my favourite but I can't resist a 50s style dress.

Katy Perry - Prada

Oh Katy! Another OTT outfit... and I love it! Katy wore a custom made Prada gown that embodied the gothic side of futurism, featuring unique embellishment in green, black and gold. Her outfit also featured numerous charms and gadgets... not just any gadget.. a Tamagotchi! Who remembers those?

Karoline Kurkoda -  Marchesa

Karolina Kurkov really did take on the theme 'Manus x Machina' with this dress. The dress is half man and half machine made, its the product of the parternship between Marchesa and IBM's Watson... no idea who he is.  The gown is a white tulle design with 150 LED lights attached to the dress' embroidered flowers. The lights would change colour and interpret the emotion content of tweets with certain hashtags... Pretty Impressive!

Kylie Jenner - Balmain

Oh... its my bae Kylie killing it again in Balmain as per usual! Kylie selected a silver, fringe beaded design with sheer panels to make her debut at the Met Gala!

Zoe Saldana - Dolce & Gabbana

Actress Zoe Saldana arrived to the event wearing a gorgeous multi-coloured dress that featured a strapless black corset and a long feather train that trailed behind her.

Nina Dobrev - Marchesa

The former 'The Vampire Diaries' star looked stunning in a full length gold gown with a flowing tulle skirt. It was covered in delicate, floral embellishments which cascaded down her skirt. Nina looked like a real life disney princess... perhaps Belle?

Poppy Delevingne - Marchesa

Poppy Delevingne oozed Old Hollywood glamour with this show stopping dress. The dress had a plunging neckline and was embellished with gemstones. The dress had a 1920's feel to it, which was down to the tiered fringing. Such a beautiful dress!

Claire Danes - Zac Posen

Claire Danses channels Cinderella in this light up princess dress. The actress made a show stopping entrance in a whimsical sky blue ball gown created by Zac Posen. The hand sewn creation was crafted from organza and fibre optics, which allowed the dress to light up in the dark. The dress was perfectly on point for the theme of the event.
